Tips For Researching A Network Marketing Business

Network Marketing Research

Finding information on legitimate network marketing companies can be like finding a needle in a haystack.  Part of the problem is there is no authoritative unbiased resource that provides information on these companies.

Most ‘authority’ sites you will find are either people who flat out hate network marketing or sites put up by marketers pushing their own programs under the guise of reviewing home businesses.  They oftentimes craft their messaging to appear unbiased but unfortunately, there is no authoritative source of unbiased information so be aware.

As for the DSA, this is like the fox guarding the henhouse and should not be relied on as a source of unbiased authority on network marketing companies.

Consider the following about network marketing companies:

If they are less than a year old, less than 10% survive past that year.  One to two years, the rate is 30%.  Two to three years, 50% and over three years, it jumps to 70%.  Many companies sprouting up today fall into the less than two years category.

One of the main red flags with network marketing companies is their offices.  Many times, these offices are non-existant or they rent a small office in a business park while attempting to pass themselves off as large, global organizations.

Use Google Maps and enter the address you find (you can perform a whois or domain dossier on sites like Central Ops or if you are lucky, they may have an address listed on their site) and select ‘street view’ – you will be surprised in many cases to see these offices do not exist or are not what you would expect to find in an established company.

Be sure to check with your local BBB on any issues with the company.
