Consumers are being more mindful of where and how they spend their money so as a business owner, how will you differentiate yourself to attract more of that spending?

Most business owners today trying to leverage the internet and social media are using the duct tape method – piecing together bits and pieces to make the whole without actually having a strategy that addresses the root of the problem – getting paying customers.

Any new trend that appears on the horizon is quickly slapped onto their current methodology in an incoherent fashion – with duct tape.  All that is accomplished is hiding the cracks in their strategy.

We aim to change that.

Here is a quick update on the growth of what I’m doing as it relates to the 200 Million Project. Things are moving fairly quickly with our team as there have been significant changes recently to the state of how information is being moved around the internet.

This has translated to an increase in the speed of development of our tool concept for small business in conjunction to my partnership with the world’s leading independent internet traffic administrator (see my New World of Business post).

Currently we are in discussions and reviewing the components and construction of the tool concept for a limited functionality beta version soft launch by December 7th.

Here are two key points:

• Our tool will have an unlimited projected launch of more than 200,000 downloads globally based on its potential
• The tool will feature content very specific and relative for small business and the network marketing world and will include text based, audio and video components

This tool will have an immediate result in the daily success of businesses who use it.

As I had alluded to in recent posts, there is a large private global organization that in collaboration with us is assisting in the design and direction of this new tool concept. This group’s level of expertise and scale that they operate on is a crucial factor in both the immediate success of this tool providing solutions for your business and being able to compete successfully whether you are a small regional business or bigger.

This organization, Global DNA, a privately held organization whose portal will not show up in standard search results, operates on a scale and level of companies like Google and Mozilla.

We are breaking with tradition by not charging for the opportunity to use and qualify what we are doing to optimize your business using our tools.

We will do this because we know once you use it, you will forever know how you have done things in your business up to this point is not going to be as effective without integrating our tools.

I really like this flash widget Gary put out in September.  It captures the essence of what my partners and I are working on filling a gap we see for small businesses and network marketers.  There is so much happening in a split second – how can you, Mr. Small Business Owner, effectively compete over the long haul in this hyperspeed dynamic environment?

Our goal is to answer that question through the projects we are working on.

Consider this – take a snap shot of these figures for a 90 second period and then calculate that activity over the period from when you go to sleep and when you wake up (or the time you are busy with the daily workings of your business) and ask yourself – what am I doing to position my business so that I can leverage what is happening without spending all my free time on it?

A better way to do just that is coming soon.

As I write this post, I’m reminded of how quickly the internet can change in an instant.

It almost seems surreal what has been happening with the 200 Million Project I’ve been involved in the past two months.  What started out as unreal traffic to over 100 million users each month has quickly morphed from the unbelievable to the unreal in some ways.

In the span of the the last 4 weeks, these numbers have exploded to DAILY users.  The group I’m part of now pushes traffic to over 200 million users each day.  I have this chart, which I unfortunately cannot share yet, that shows a massive explosion of traffic in October that boggles the mind.

So what does this have to do with business?  Everything.  The way we do business globally is changing at such a fast pace that businesses today risk being left behind and obsolete if they do not learn how to leverage these changes for the success and survival of their business.

My business partners and I have come up with a tool that will revolutionize social media and business practices and is going to be the next industry standard in business building for small business and network marketing.

It is directly related to the propagation of information online allowing businesses to generate more revenue in ways they had not thought of before.

Through our partnership with the world leading independent internet traffic administrator, one of the primary web traffic admininstration organizations online, we will be releasing a short period beta test of the tool showing how it works and how it can benefit your company.

Part of the 200 Million Project relates directly to this trend in social media usage outside the US but equally important to note is the current status of social media here.  A recent report shows that mobile device access to social media sites doubled in the US since the beginning of the year.

I’m involved with a group that moves traffic to over 200 million users each month and this trend is nothing new to us.  We realize that the way business is conducted here in North America is set to change dramatically and it’s clear from talking to hundreds of business owners that most small businesses are ill prepared for the coming shift.

The real question isn’t if, but when.  As in WHEN are you going to seriously look at the way social media is being used outside of the US and how you plan on meeting this change with your business?

Without a major change in the perception and understanding of this trend, most businesses risk failure so start paying attention to what is happening around you and develop a strategy to enter this new world of business quickly.

Brothers in the Scheme Family – and Why Network Marketing is No Relation

Had Charles Ponzi and Bernie Madoff switched birthdates, Ponzi would likely have been sentenced to luxury apartment arrest for perpetrating a “Madoff Scheme”. Indeed, Ponzi bilked investors out of a mere $15 million back in the 1920s (about $154 million in today’s dollars), and even managed to pay a good chunk of it back. Madoff madeoff with about $50 billion – that’s with a B – in literally today’s dollars! This makes Mr. Madoff Guinness eligible for the world record as largest Ponzi Scheme in history – well, until around 2016. That’s when something called Social Security will officially meet the definition.¹

The guy² who popularized the pyramid scheme was probably named “Ogg” (yes, with two g’s) and drew his circles on a cave wall.

Although doomed at birth by the same disease, called mathematitus, pyramid and Ponzi schemes are in fact a very different organism.

A Ponzi scheme differs from a pyramid in two primary ways. First, a Ponzi usually has a single administrator (perpetrator) who acts as the hub for all transactions. A pyramid scheme is usually initiated by someone, but then he initiates others to perform the same recruitment process. Eventually everyone in the scheme not only invests into it but does so with at least the intention of enticing others to invest as well. A Ponzi has one prep and many victims. A pyramid has many perps and many victims, and most participants are both.
