marketingtorture Torturing Your Prospects? Drip Marketing Tips

Drip marketing is a term for any marketing campaigns that involve repeat contact or touches and it works with both prospects and existing customers.

When done right, It works for businesses of all sizes and part of what I recommend is employing this within your own network marketing or home based business.

When done wrong, it can be like Chinese water torture for your target audience.

To be successful with drip marketing you need thoughtfully planned and carefully targeted communications to get your message across to prospects and keep your brand at the top of their minds.

Effective drip marketing stands out from the thousands of competing messages people are bombarded with every day so creativity is the way to differentiate here.

Standing out is key as your prospects move through the sales cycle and eventually become paying customers. My buddy Tom ‘The Furry Hat’ Guy is an excellent example of standing out.

Probably the most important aspect of drip marketing is the building of awareness for what you offer – product, service or ‘You, Inc.’.  Done correctly, your messaging will stick in your prospects mind.

A big advantage of drip marketing is it’s relative low cost and low effort requirements.  An auto-responder is the simplest way to initiate and maintain a drip marketing campaign and you can setup a variety of campaigns based on your subject and target audience.

Different messaging and content is also key to success.  If you have subscribed to any newsletters or opted in to sales pages from top marketers, you will notice the most effective and successful are those that personalize their messaging and provide different types of content – pdfs, videos and reports.

The basic messaging can be the same but the variety is what keeps it fresh.

By following these basic strategies you can significantly increase your sales and build a large loyal following.
